High School Liaison Officer

Your responsibilities will include;
- Work with Tunza Sports ‘Field Operations’ Team
- Serve as a primary representative to high schools
- Create and maintain a record of high schools with a hockey program
- Make High School Visits and high school hockey games
- Build a recruitment schedule and strategy based on specific, targeted high schools
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective students and their parents
- Assists with the recruitment/enrollment of Tunza players in primary school
- Keep inventory of recruitment materials and other specific high school documents
- Create a network of referral sources
- Develop annual recruitment plans based on specific strategies for prospective students
- Build a network of relationships with high schools to enhance outreach
- Develop presentations showing the benefits of recruiting players from Tunza program
- Maintain a system to track the status and progress of our players in high school
- Play a lead role in planning special events, and processing admissions packets
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with high school coaches to solicit their support for lucrative scholarship offers
- Work with Tunza coaches to match talent with schools
- Form essential links with the schools
- Communicate findings with Tunza coaches to prepare athlete expectations accordingly
- Organize friendly games between potential high schools with Tunza senior players
- Explain high school scholarship offers providing information and facilitate applications
- Provide tutorial support and appropriate advice and guidance for better grades
- Help facilitate the admissions process by providing players with essential application information
- Advice and counsel prospects, applicants, and players on High School admissions policies, procedures, and requirements
- Play a lead role in the scholarship negotiation to ensure successful delivery of promise
- Review and regularly evaluate the effectiveness of each high school hockey program
- Follow up with Tunza players in high school to report progress and facilitate renewal of athletic scholarship
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications/Business/Marketing/Performing arts/Education
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in admissions recruitment or client services
- Be well equipped to explain organization mission and goals
- Experience in sales or marketing that involved heavy volume of interaction
- Prior experience in the development and delivery of information in person, electronically and via the phone
- Proficiency in the use of Office Suite and prior exposure to a database system
- Proficient organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in relationship management, and excellent interpersonal skills
- Customer service-oriented attitude required
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work in multi-disciplinary environment
- Well-honed leadership qualities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be well versed with cultural and social barriers of underprivileged communities
- This position requires traveling to regions in areas that are remote and poor
