EMPOWERMENT THROUGH SPORT
Tunza Sports Academy is a Not-for-Profit sports-based youth development organization in the USA with field operations in Kenya. We are a program that harnesses the power of sports to reduce poverty, promote health and inspire academic success for kids in under-served rural areas. We have embraced the challenge to empower girls with life changing skills that will enable them become women of integrity, women of substance and functional community leaders.
Tunza Sports Academy is an initiative that stemmed from a passion for sport and compassion for humanity. We care about people and we have chosen sport as the means towards making a difference.
Our sports programs are infused with community service activities that foster a
healthy environment to induce positive social change and economic growth.
Tunza began as a solo expedition charity, giving away clothing. Providing “fish”. The impact was unmeasurable. It has since grown into a team of sport enthusiasts, helping people to be active contributors towards their own destiny. Teaching them how to “fish”, one child at a time, one village at a time.
