Social Media Assistant

Your responsibilities will include;

  • Work with Tunza Sports ‘Media and Communications’ Team
  • Manage all Tunza’s social media platforms and oversee layout
  • Track analytics and evaluate performance with the goal of increasing online visibility
  • Strategize how to increase our audiences
  • Create engaging text and image content for social postings
  • Plan social media postings up to 1 month in advance
  • Prepare social advertisements
  • Consult with our photographer for photos
  • Learn our Mission and write engaging photo captions for Instagram and Facebook
  • Monitor conversations and respond to comments on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
  • Conduct Instagram hashtag research and generate keyword lists for YouTube
  • Work with videographer to support social video creation
  • Monitor and report on social engagement and follower growth
  • Using site pixels and analytics tools to track, monitor, and report on online actions
  • Monitor ad campaigns and suggest optimization opportunities to improve performance
  • Report on results and activity (effect on impressions, engagements, following etc.)
  • Coordinate with team members for shoots to ensure content gathered for social activity (photography and videography plus interviews)
  • Work closely with Events Coordinator as well as attend external events
  • Proofread all content for social and internal/ external communications
  • Ensure that the website is up to date
  • Track celebrated international days relevant to Tunza’s cause and prepare content

Requirements

  • Diploma in Communications/ Public Relations/Business/Journalism/Social Media
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using a variety of social media platforms
    • {Facebook, Instagram, You Tube, Flickr, LinkedIn, Twitter}
  • Technology savviness, fluent using apps, phone types and notebooks
  • Excellent written and oral communications
  • Understanding analytics to support decision-making
  • Experience developing digital strategy and/or campaigns
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/Basic HTML
  • Expertise in multiple social media platforms
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text and image)
  • Familiarity with online marketing strategies
  • Ability to grasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively
  • Graphic design, video editing, and Photoshop skills a plus
  • Interest and/or experience in sports like hockey or eSports is a plus
  • Experience in marketing, writing and/or PR
  • Strong proficiency in the use of desktop and web-based computer applications including Microsoft Office, Software programs, Internet Navigation
  • Degree in Marketing a plus
